Elka 14mm Herringbone Whitewashed Oak is a masterfully crafted parquet floor designed to bring timeless British elegance and a bright, contemporary aesthetic into your home. Made from 100% natural wood, this flooring features a substantial 3mm solid oak wear layer over a real wood core, offering the flawless appearance of solid timber alongside superior dimensional stability. The oak has been delicately smoked to add tonal depth and finished with a UV Oiled coating, which protects the timber from daily wear while preserving its tactile, matte texture and pale, modern whitewashed hue.
Built to deliver outstanding structural longevity, each block is cut with a crisp 4-sided bevel that defines the geometric parquet pattern once laid. Thanks to its thick wear layer, this floor can be sanded and refinished in the future, ensuring your investment stands the test of time. It is robust enough to be installed in all residential areas of the home, with the exception of high-humidity environments like bathrooms.
For optimal performance, this flooring features a traditional Tongue & Groove locking system and is specified for a Full Stick Only installation (meaning it must be fully bonded to the subfloor with adhesive and must not be float installed). This fixed installation method works in perfect harmony with modern heating requirements, making the Whitewashed Oak fully compatible to be laid over embedded underfloor heating systems for a warm, stable, and luxurious feel underfoot.
